It is very accurately described as the book of beginnings. In Genesis we see the beginning of the world, the beginning of marriage, the beginning of family, the beginning of sin and death and temptation, the beginning of punishment, the beginning of civilizations, the beginning of faith, the beginning of Israel, and so much more.
